Last updated on April, 2024

(Ethmee is a product of Ethniv, Inc), 123 Putnam Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11238 Ethmee ("Ethmee") is honored to connect customers and service professionals and we strive to provide each with the best experience possible. To that end, we require that all pros and customers uphold our core values:

Be respectful
Respect each other and each other’s property. If there’s a conflict, respectfully work together to resolve it.

Be fair
As a pro, ensure that you’re providing good customer service and producing quality work at a fair price. As a customer, be considerate of pros’ time and money. Also, be fair in giving pros the reviews they’ve earned and deserve.

Be professional
Present yourself in a professional manner. Communicate clearly and often and do your part to ensure each other’s comfort in every situation.

Be honest
Honor your agreements and be honest about your expectations and limitations. As a pro, be honest if a job is outside your skillset or licensing. As a customer, be honest if you have no intention of completing a project. Always be upfront if something isn’t going as agreed upon or planned.

Be reliable
Answer calls, texts and emails in a timely manner. Show that you value each other’s time by being present and punctual for all appointments. Never leave someone wondering how to reach you or where you are.

Be inclusive
Don’t discriminate based on race, national origin, social and economic class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, political belief, religion, mental and physical ability, or any other factor. Ethmee adheres to a strict zero-tolerance discrimination policy.

Ethmee reserves the right to remove all users who fail to follow this code of conduct from our site and platform.

Make sure to pack it with:
  1. Ways to get back to you, like your name, postal and email addresses, or a phone number.
  2. All the need-to-knows on the creative works or trademarks at stake, especially those official registration digits and the office where you got them registered.
  3. The roadmap to the content that's got you raising an eyebrow — we're talking URLs and a snapshot description of your work, like "that snapshot topping the event page".
  4. A swear-by-it declaration that you're not just crying wolf — you're either the original rights-holder or swinging the legal baton on their behalf, all backed up with your signature, whether it's ink or digital.

With these in hand, we'll hustle to make things right!

How to Flag Violating Content

Our goal is to promote a safe and respectful community. If you learn of any content that may violate these Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service, please use the Report This Event link in the event's footer, or in the case of violating content other than event listings, contact us right away. We will review each report, and depending on the nature of the report, we may or may not follow up with you.

Ethmee’s Process for Review

We will review the content to determine if it violates these Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service. If the content was reported directly to us, we consider any additional details provided by the reporter, as well as information readily available outside Ethmee’s marketplace about the organizers, sponsors, partners, and speakers, such as content on their websites and social media and activity at prior events.

If the content is determined to violate our policies, we may remove only the relevant content, take down the entire event listing, or take alternative action that we determine to be appropriate given the circumstances surrounding the content. Note that certain content, while not in violation of our Community Guidelines, may not be appropriate for our community. In these cases, we may make the content private or otherwise reduce its distribution or prominence. If the abuse of our Services is serious and severe (in our sole evaluation), which can include repeatedly posting illegal content or repeatedly submitting unfounded complaints, we may also suspend or terminate the associated Ethmee account.

If we believe there is a legitimate risk of physical harm to someone or a group of people, or direct threats to public safety, we not only take action on our site but will also work with law enforcement, as appropriate and at our discretion. This includes issuing reports of child sexual abuse material to authorities such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger as a result of content posted on Ethmee, please first contact your local law enforcement agency. Once you've reported the issue to law enforcement, click
here to report the issue directly to Ethmee.

We truly value your feedback and the opportunity to hear from our community. It's important to remember that Ethmee encourages a diverse, global community. Content that you find offensive or controversial may not violate our Community Guidelines, and thus your report may not result in your desired action.

If you believe we've taken incorrect action on your content, please let us know by replying to our email within 6 months of the decision. Per the Digital Services Act, if you are an EU resident, you can appeal our decision, whether related to your content or content you've reported, here.
